The count

Result won’t be known until Sunday

For some reason the VEC is NOT counting the Alpine council votes today and, instead, will just be opening the envelopes, checking for informal votes, batching them and then storing the ballot papers overnight (in sealed boxes). The count will start about 8am on Sunday and the result is expected to be known by around 12 noon. It’s over in Wangaratta so I’ll post the results up here when I get back, sometime in the afternoon.
