The Pacific Dawn 'swine flu' cruise ship. Just blow it up.

Swine flu hits the north east. About 20 cases of swine flu have now been detected in this region – in Berrigan, Beechworth & Mansfield. In all cases the ‘victims’ were either passengers from the Pacific Dawn or had contact with other passengers. Why did they ever let it dock? PS: Those towns are nowhere near Bright!

Is it that big a deal? More people die from normal flu, some people are getting sick, I don’t get all the fuss. Unless I’m going to start oinking, sprout a curly tail and develop a snout a-la Victoria Beckham then I’ll take a week off work and buy some extra tissues and that should do it.

I think you might be right Don. We’re hearing a lot of news about how many people it’s infecting but what we’re NOT hearing is how those people are going. And I’m sure that if anyone was really suffering above & beyond a normal flu, the media would be reporting that big time. I reckon they’re just praying for the first death by swine flu in Australia. Watch the media, the health officials and the plebs go into overdrive if that happens.

Well, if I do end up getting it, I hope I don’t get a snout like Mark Byatt.

He’s immune. It doesn’t affect pigs.

“TASMANIAN health authorities have started isolating travellers from Victoria with flu-like symptoms.”

I hope the Hawks aren’t due this weekend. Talk about King Canute! I’m told that if necessary, there will be a tent hospital set up on the Domain, and it’s bloody cold down here.
