What does ’stupid’ look like?

"I fell asleep and when I woke up I saw stars."

The Oxford Dictionary may be forced to upgrade its definition of several words including ’stupid’ in honour of 18 year old Kimberley Vlaeminck from Belgium, who according to reports, claims that she only asked her tattooist for 3 stars on her forehead but then fell asleep in the chair (what, was she anaethesised?) only to wake up and find she’d been turned into a “freak”. Well, she could always just move to Nimbin where she’d look right at home. Vlaeminck is now suing the tattooist at the urging of her irate father & boyfriend.

Tell the Maoris that, LuLi. If you dare!

I always wondered what the Black Death looked like. I don’t believe a word of it and I hope he countersues. You couldn’t sleep through 50-odd tattoos unless you were stoned or drunk.

Kimberley Vlaminck, 18, claimed that she asked for only three stars to be tattooed near her left eye as a present from her father, Diego, who was upholding a family tradition of tattoos.

“My father wanted to pay because in our family everyone has a tattoo,” she said.

As her father ate an ice cream outside, Miss Vlaeminck claims she fell asleep before waking up to find her face covered in the “nightmare” tattoos.

    The stupidity is obviously hereditary.

“As her father ate an ice cream outside” … LMAO. How long did it take him to eat the ice cream? How long does it take to apply 56 tattoos? Er, I think he could have gone inside and checked on his precious little Kimberley: “Hey dude, what you doing to my daughter, eh?” Chk, chk … boom!

Just looking at the pic i wonder if they are real. Either that or the tatts are old now as there is no scabs or skin blemishes… She will now be a STAR attraction

To be honest, I don’t think that it would have taken all that long to do those stars. My tattoo, which is larger and more intricate took little more than an hour to do.

Dazz also makes a good point, the skin around a fresh tattoo is pretty nasty looking for a week or so.

Hmm, come to think of it, she looks a bit like Clare ‘chk, chk, boom’ Werberloff. I wonder how long it’ll be before she’s on 60 minutes?

Dave, what’s your tattoo say, “Macs are cool”?

    Look for yourself.

Holy crap, Dave, you really ARE a Catholic.

Btw, it’s in Bitmap, which WordPress won’t upload. Do you know how I can get that into jpeg?

moral of the story..dont fall asleep at the tattoo shop..this is funny.its like the software industry where the customer asks for something and gets something else :D

..and Ray open the bitmap in Paintbrush (should be there on your PC) and select Save As..within that you can select the Type as JPEG..

Vijay, she could always hire herself out for kids’ birthday parties as both a clown and a game (they could play ‘join the dots’ on her face).

And thanks for that advice, Vijay. I knew Dave wouldn’t tell me. Cheers.

Sorry Ray, in the cut and thrust of misplaced back slashes I missed your cry for help regarding jpegs. I wouldn’t have been much help though, asking me for help with Windows is likely to get you fairly random levels of success.

On my old computer I had a ‘kodak’ program that I could use to convert bitmap images and the like into jpeg. I haven’t looked for paintbrush yet but you’d reckon Vista 2007 would be more up to date than Windows 2000 ! Maybe not.

I think Microsoft are actually now quite worried about being seen to be doing too much with Windows because of their antitrust problems. I believe that http://www.getpaint.net/ is the preferred free editor for many non Mac users.

I’ve found it, Dave, right under my nose. It’s the standard ‘paint’ program I use a fair bit, only I hadn’t realised it could convert images to jpeg etc. It can. I did. Wait for the post.

Have you seen the guy who did the tattoo? He looks scary…

  19. Ray Dixon said, on 18 June, 2009 at 12:59 pm

No, Vijay, have you got a link?

  20. Vijay said, on 19 June, 2009 at 1:31 pm

Ray its on the link you provided to the report

  21. Ray Dixon said, on 19 June, 2009 at 2:05 pm

In my defence, Vijay, I don’t think the link was in the report when I first wrote the post. Although I’ve been known to miss the obvious!
