‘Bover Boy’ Hall does it again

How do you have a 'brain-snap' when you don't have a brain to snap?

How do you have a 'brain-snap' when you don't have a brain to snap?

In his 250th. game, Sydney Swans’ Barry Hall has not let us down and has been reported for striking. I watched the incident on Austar and he’s definitely gone for at least 4 weeks. It wasn’t a big hit but it was a punch to the head and intentional. The stupid part is, it wasn’t even necessary – Hall didn’t appear to be provoked and was just giving his Adelaide opponent a ‘parting one’ after tackling him. Then again, the nutso Hall needs no prompting to have yet another brain snap. I don’t know why Sydney coach Paul Roos keeps playing this ‘thug without a cause’ and I hope we’ve just seen the last of him. After he retires I’d give him about 6 months before he winds up on assault charges and goes to jail. He’s the ultimate ‘bover boy’.

I’m in complete aggrement with your opinion and it leaves me wondering “what is his
problem?” It could be ADHD or frontal lobe impairment, then again he may be just lacking in maturity. If he’s seriously considering a boxing career he will fare even worse as he will eventually finish up blocking more punches with his face than his gloves as in this sport it is almost impossible to succeed with a ‘gung ho’ attitude. The recent
effort by John Hopoate against Oliver McCall was living testimony to that when Hopoate
was,not surprisingly KO’d in two rounds. If Barry is unable to exercise self-control on a football field he dare not step into a boxing ring.

Lovely advertisement for the game when he keeps coming back to do the same. And you wonder why there are floods of young people gravitating towards the Beautiful Game. (Puts tin hat on).

It’s odd, whatever it is. I’ve noticed it usually happens when he’s playing well (!!) Same thing against West Coast – he was having a good game until he flattened Staker; then went on to flatten himself for good measure…

It would be poetic justice to see him get smashed in the ring though.

No, I’d rather he was smashed in a different body part – the head.

A few ‘low blows’ wouldn’t be out of order.

Barry quits, good riddance! he should have been made persona non grata by the AFL long ago.
