Wackier than Jacko?

You’ve just got to look at this video of a TV ad in India that Vijay of Bangalore Blues  has written about. Never mind that you mightn’t understand what they’re saying, it kind of speaks for itself. And Vijay has kindly provided this interpretation:

Whats this obsession with fairness???

We have all kinds of ads promising to make you “white”…

The dumbest is this vaseline ad where the coach says something to the effect ..”You are great in practice..but then you need to wear a tennis dress”…

Girl realizes that she’s too colorful (read not white) for a tennis dress and decides to do something…

Girl then goes off and applies loads of vaseline, comes back and executes a perfect shot off the net to win the tournament..I think her fairness blinds the opponent…

What the f***…they even have a shade meter..

Michael Jackson has a lot to answer for. Mind you, we have a different use for Vaseline over here.

    Have to laugh at this as we have the contrast of white chicks spraying on tan to go the colour of BBQ.

    Exactly JR, and that’s what I said at Vijay’s site.

    The best thing about this is that it was highlighted by an Indian himself. It’s worth reading the comments of Vijay’s readers (click on link above) because I think it shows a great ability to laugh at themselves.
