I feel for Stynes but I feel nothing for Melbourne who are the cause of their own demise. They are the most unsuccessful club of the past 45 years and they have no future. If that’s what it takes to get them to play hard then it just indicates how poor their own culture is.

I blame the supporters. They have 31,000 members yet only 29,000 people turned up today. Most fans are not members so by any measure they should have hade a bare minimum of 50,000 at that game today given the events of the week.

Great win but a hollow one too.

Yeah, if you scroll back to my tips, Rox, you’ll see that I broke my own ‘golden rule’ by tipping Brisbane. It’s OK though, Baldrick tipped them too!

You didn’t tip West Coast did you? Seriously, Melbourne had to be the biggest shoe-in of the year after the Stynes thing. It won’t make much difference for the rest of year though. I reckon the Dees think they’ve done what they had to do and won’t win another game. They are one hopeless club.

In all the excitement I forget to check that I have got at least one tip correct. Port by nearly 50 points. Well done me.

Since OzTips (or possibly me by not saving properly) did me out of 12 points, I’m scuppered with my tipping. So I’m enjoying it a lot more.

Well Rox, as good as it was it seems nothing moves Melbourne supporters to turn up and watch their team play. Only 29,000 !!! What is wrong with Melbourne? Answer: It’s not a real footy club, it’s about businessman. Melbourne fans were probably at Mt Buller today, in their Range Rovers. No passion, no hope.

Have you forgotten, JB? It sounds like the AFL suppression order has worked then.

There were two players from a certain club with 2 strikes back in 2007, and the strikes stand for 4 years. Also mentioned was the involvement of 7 or 8 others from the same club, and a certain ex-player.

Then there’s last year’s Grand Final in which a certain team ‘performed’ well above expectations. Can’t afford that 3rd strike I guess.

That draw was to stir you up Raymond. That clash has so many dimensions. We’ve got far more firepower in with Stokes and Wojja in. You are right with heavy forwards in Moons and Tomahawk (he’s still got a year or two to toughen up). Rooke has been down on form.

On the other hand, these blokes will relish a stoush and can your recall a Saints v Cats match without spite and “physicality”? When was the last time I heard the reference to handbaggers? You can thank Rooke, Chappie and co for that and watch them rise to the occasion.

And to get you back into the competition, I’m still tipping a draw.
