Council ‘missing in action’

Posted in Alpine Shire Council by Ray Dixon on 27 July, 2009

No prizes for guessing the CEO is on holidays.

No prizes for guessing the CEO is on holidays.

Or are they just asleep in there?

What on earth is the Alpine council up to? Are they doing anything at all? It appears not.

Check out their website, there’s been no movement at all since 10th July.

And, ironically, that notice is about their very poor results in the “community satisfaction survey”!

Looks like they need to communicate more.

“Looks like they need to communicate more”

That’s exactly what the Buckland Valley residents are saying too, in regards to the proposed quarry.

Well yes, but in today’s local paper they’re claiming they “went out of their way” to be fair to the nearby local residents. Although it’s quite clear they didn’t send notices to everyone who would be affected by it. If you live in that area you are going to be affected so why weren’t ALL residents near the proposed quarry notified? It’s really not hard to do.
